sadness and being down
Friday, April 28th, 2006yeah, it came up several weeks ago when i, once again, began to play the role as the collector of Stars of Destiny in its 4th series. i haven’t finished it until now cause i only have the chance to play it when i’m in cirebon. i can’t play it here, in bandung. i think i haven’t even reach half of it.
but…
when i actually played it for a while, it was coming back to me. it reminded me of the first and second series (i haven’t played the third also. it was very hard to find its copy since it’s quite an old stuff).

the role of one-self and…
allies, companions, brother-in-arms, friends…
i had goosebumps everytime i remembered that. to exaggerate it more, i might even wanted to shed tears.
each and every Hero in each of the series always have been young, innocent (so to say), kind, gentle…well, basically they’ve always been the good-boy image. yet they always have to pick the burden of the world.
to tell the truth…i give my highest salute to those fictional characters! you are my role models, dude!!!
ok, back to the thing…
the thing is…they’ve been down, expecially the curse they carry from the Rune.
Hero 1 : Souleater the Rune of Life and Death. consumes the life of those near to him.
Hero 2 : Bright Shield, part of the Rune of Beginning. must fight in war against the bearer of Black Sword, another part of the Rune of Beginning.
Hero 4 : Rune of Punishment. don’t know for sure since i haven’t finished the whole story but basically, it gives the bearer tremendous power yet it slowly consumes the bearer’s life-force.
but this isn’t about the Rune…at all. this is about the curse and sadness they must endure! Hero1 lost his best friend, his father, and his trusted servant because of the curse of the Rune. Hero2 had to fight against his best friend in a war because his best friend got the other part of the Rune and it was the rune’s destiny to fight each other until the winner came up and almost lost his sister because of the fight between him and his best friend. as of Hero4, well, of course, although he could wield great offensive power, the rune drain his life little by little.
i mean, imagine the sadness, the solitude life they have to journey upon!
whenever i sad or down, sometimes i look upon them…and i got a shed of light.
